Quality system

Brian May-3

I really like the quality system it seems well thought out.

I am not able to get any of the pdf files to print?   It prints the product name but none of the tests show up on the sheets.  I wasn't able to get it to work on the demo version also.

Re: Quality system

It looks like the problem is, you have to designate the "Group By:" in the test Maintenance.  I set it to PhysicalProperty and now everything prints.

Re: Quality System

Andrew Galuski
In reply to this post by Brian May-3

Brian,

Regarding the quality system:

There is some horrible hardcoding that the author (me) put into that, but the fix should be easy.

The paperwork (Product Spec and Cert) the system is looking for "Group By" values from the QATests.php page.

It expects that the Tests on your spec will be in the following groups

"Processing", "RegulatoryCompliance", or "PhysicalProperty".

If you didn’t use those groups or used a ‘blank’ group the test won’t print.

So you can open up PDFProdSpec.php and PDFCOA.php and modify the $SectionsArray variable to match what you want.  This variable lays out the sections of the paperwork and defines the header and title and trailer information as well as positioning on the page.

Values in the array are:

“Group Name”,”# Columns of Data”, “Title of Section”,”Trailer Section Notes”,Array of column positions on page, Array of Column labels, array of alignment of each column

Existing:

$SectionsArray=array(array('PhysicalProperty',3, _('Technical Data Sheet Properties'), _('* Data herein is typical and not to be construed as specifications.'), array(260,110,135),array(_('Physical Property'),_('Value'),_('Test Method')),array('left','center','center')),

                                                array('Processing',2, _('Injection Molding Processing Guidelines'), _('* Desicant type dryer required.'), array(240,265),array(_('Setting'),_('Value')),array('left','center')),

                                                array('RegulatoryCompliance',2, _('Regulatory Compliance'), '', array(240,265),array(_('Regulatory Compliance'),_('Value')),array('left','center')));

If you want to change the values you can.  Or you can add additional arrays for your sections.  Including Blank.

Example (I added a blank section here):

$SectionsArray=array(array('PhysicalProperty',3, _('Technical Data Sheet Properties'), _('* Data herein is typical and not to be construed as specifications.'), array(260,110,135),array(_('Physical Property'),_('Value'),_('Test Method')),array('left','center','center')),

                                                                                array('',3, _('Blank Header'), _('* Blank Trailer'), array(260,110,135), array(_('Physical Property'),_('Value'),_('Test Method')),array('left','center','center')),

                                                                                array('Processing',2, _('Injection Molding Processing Guidelines'), _('* Desicant type dryer required.'), array(240,265),array(_('Setting'),_('Value')),array('left','center')),

                                                                                array('RegulatoryCompliance',2, _('Regulatory Compliance'), '', array(240,265),array(_('Regulatory Compliance'),_('Value')),array('left','center')));

Hope that helps.  If you can’t figure it out contact me directly offline and I will help you out.

Best Regards,

Andrew Galuski

Re: Quality System

In reply to this post by Brian May-3

I see you already figured it out.  I will commit a change allowing blanks to print by default.

Someday when I have more time, or if somebody else wants to do it, they can parameterize this in the DB somehow, or in an XML file

It looks like the problem is, you have to designate the "Group By:" in the test Maintenance.  I set it to PhysicalProperty and now everything prints.

Duplicate line back in BOMIndented.php

Vitaly Shevkunov
Phil,

You put a duplicate string back into the BOMIndented.php.
This does not make much sense
                 WHERE bom.effectiveafter <= '" . date('Y-m-d') . "'
                 AND bom.effectiveafter <= '" . date('Y-m-d') . "'

Is it accidental?

Vitaly

                 FROM bom
                  INNER JOIN passbom ON bom.parent = passbom.part
                  INNER JOIN locationusers ON
locationusers.loccode=bom.loccode AND locationusers.userid='" .
$_SESSION['UserID'] . "' AND locationusers.canview=1
                 WHERE bom.effectiveafter <= '" . date('Y-m-d') . "'
                 AND bom.effectiveafter <= '" . date('Y-m-d') . "'
                 AND bom.effectiveto > '" . date('Y-m-d') . "'";
