Re: shipping address labels

Andrew Galuski
Terry‎,
I thought I made this part of the sales order screen where you view open orders. Shipping labels can be printed to PDF direct from that screen.

Subsequent to this version we now only have the sourceforge logo appear
on the login dialog - previously it was in the footer.inc - so all pages
were slow defeating our careful design for speed!

Hi everyone,

In my case, I use a network that I keep off the web for my weberp.

It is a bit cumbersome yes, as we have two networks one on web no weberp and the other off for weberp.

This means as long as looking for a Url, I'm slooooww.

I expect that few people have such a setup but it is worth noting as a warning as installation can be frustraing for an unaware user.

Cheers

Russ

Hi Phil and everyone,

I've written quick and dirty Shipping Address Label Generator for webERP,
as I really needed shipping address labels, and couldn't find a menu for
that in the current release.

My project with some notes and freely downloadable files is on my PHP
Bulletin Board  at :-
http://portertech.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=52&sid=3ba992eb80938aba2123b7210e86ede7

How does it work ?
You enter the Customer Branch ID, and it prints your customized shipping
Address label on your printer.

Basically a Unix Workstation runs my Perl script called "
find-client-shipping-details.pl" which orchestrates sending a SQL query to
the webERP server.

It then feeds the data into LYX, which is a GUI front-end to the LaTeX
text formatting program.

LYX produces Postscript output which is then sent to a printer (a networked
Laser printer in my case) to print the Shipping Address Label for that
customer.
