[webERP-users] Delete Confirmation (update)

hj2004
Hi All,

I've added a simple but useful confirmation box for those 'dangerous'
delete buttons, like this...
on every 'input' tag for buttons, add 'onclick' attribute, e.g.:
from this...
    echo '<P><input type="Submit" name="delete" value="' . _('Delete
This Item') . '">';

to this...
    echo '<P><input type="Submit" name="delete" value="' . _('Delete
This Item') . '" onclick="return confirm(\'Are You Sure?\');">';

It will show you the message 'Are You Sure?' with the 'Yes' or 'No'
buttons. If you you click 'Yes', it will proceed to the action (ie:
Delete!). If you click 'No', nothing's happens.

The same method can be used for confirmation on 'delete' link when data
rows is presented in grid. e.g.:
from this...
<TD><A HREF='%s?SupplierID=%s&SelectedContact=%s&delete=yes'>" .
_('Delete') . '</TD>

to this...
<TD><A HREF='%s?SupplierID=%s&SelectedContact=%s&delete=yes'
onclick='return confirm(\"Are You Sure?\")'>" .  _('Delete') . '</TD>

Since this is quite easy, I think we should make it part of WebERP feature.
We can standardize the text message, or maybe put it to language locale.

Rgds,
Hindra

This is a great one ! Didn't know that.... have added it to the delete
customer and delete item buttons. Will work through the other scripts and add
it for links too.

Thanks for this

Phil
